22 Oct 2024 Canada PACT Implementation Guide Korean Air thank you for your cooperation in advance. We will inform you of the main contents related to Canada PACT, which will be enforced on April 1, 2025.so we ask for your active cooperation. 1. Overview of PACT ㅇ PACT Program : The Pre-load Air Cargo Targeting(PACT) Program identifies and mitigates high-risk air cargo shipments before they’re transported to Canada. Before loading cargo onto an aircraft bound for Canada, air carriers must submit cargo data to Transport Canada using the PACT System. ㅇ Applicable cargo : PACT will be applied to cargo on flights from outside Canada to an aerodrome located in Canada. ㅇ Transmission information: Shipper's name/address, consignee's name/address, cargo description, total quantity of cargo, total gross weight of cargo, Air waybill Number (Master/House) ㅇ Destination: Transport Canada ㅇ Transmission time : When completion of AWB acceptance, the relevant data is automatically transmitted (Transport of Canada approval is required before cargo loading) ㅇTransmission method: Master/House Air waybill information provided by forwarders are transmitted in the form of FWB/FHL through our system. ㅇ Effective Date : April 1st, 2025 (Change of Effective date) 2. Request for cooperation for Forwarder ㅇ All Master/House Air waybill data must be accurately input and sent to Korean Air - Shipper's/Consignee's full name and valid address - Cargo description - Total quantity and total gross weight of cargo - Master Air Waybill and House Air Waybill numbers (up to 12 digits allowed) ㅇ Must comply with the cut off time of AWB acceptance ㅇ If there is a change in House Air waybill Data after AWB acceptance, the details of the change must be notified to Korean Air by phone. ㅇMinimize the time gap between cargo acceptance and AWB acceptance ㅇ Notify forwarder 24 hrs emergency contact point to Korean Air branch and maintain ※ Note Inaccurate data transmission by forwarder, pending approval by TC, or not approved may cause delays in holding and customs clearance during transportation. Delays in receipt of air waybills may cause delays in TC's approval and may result in OFLD. For consolation cargo, the entire Master Air waybill cargo might be held in case of pending approval or not approved for one House air waybill, and the cargo with pending approval will be transportable after completion of complementary measures and approval for TC's additional requirements. ※ TC related reference site : Link
